David Kevin Ebersole

David Kevin Ebersole, 72 of East Peoria, passed away at 11:17 am, Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria surrounded by his family. He was born in Auburn, IN to Glee and Patricia (Reed) Ebersole on April 3, 1951. He married Linda Doubet in Pekin on July 31, 1992 she was his best friend and love of his life. She survives. Dave was preceded in death by his parents. He is also survived by; three sons, Brian (Kristin) Railey of East Peoria, Bret Railey of Carbondale, IL and Robin (Melinda) Ebersole of Newton, KS; three grandchildren, Anderson Railey, Payten Ebersole, and Taylor Ebersole; and four brothers, Eric (Danielle) Ebersole of Florida, Jeff (Teri) Ebersole of Elkhart Lake, WI, Craig (Lynette) Ebersole of Barryton, KS, and Tracy (Grace) Ebersole of Pittsburg, PA; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and one great-great nephew; and many friends that were considered to him as family. He also left behind his side kick Reyvan, his German Shepard, and his cat Rey. Dave worked as a lineman at Channel Communications for over 20 years with his brothers, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and especially looked forward to his annual hunting trip to Wisconsin with his brothers. He loved live music, most importantly his son and nephews band. He loved teaching all the kids to fish and would teach anyone that would listen. A Celebration of Daves Life will be held on March 23, 2024 at 4:00PM at the VFW 1232 Veterans Drive, Pekin IL 61554. Memorials may be made in Daves name to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
