Dale W. Ehmke

Dale William Ehmke, 76, formerly of Pekin, IL passed away at 1:30 PM Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Farmington Country Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Dale was born on July 31, 1944 in Pekin to Paul and Thelma (Drockelman) Ehmke. He married Pamela Smith 1979. She passed away in 2011. Also preceding in death are his parents. Dale is survived by one brother, Stanley Ehmke of Pekin and several cousins. Dale was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Pekin, Peoria Orchid Society, American Legion Post #2 in Peoria and a life member of North Pekin Amvets Post #169. He worked as a Physical Science Technician at the USDA Ag Lab in Peoria, retiring July 2011 after over 30 years of service. Private funeral services were held Monday, May 17, 2021 with Rev. Daniel Bishop officiating. Interment was in Chillicothe City Cemetery with military honors provide by the United States Army. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory assisted Dales family with his arrangements. The family would like to thank the staff at Farmington Country Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the kind and compassionate care they gave Dale.
