C.R. Ron Alexander

C.R.'Ron' Alexander, 80, of Pekin, IL passed away at 11:10 PM Sunday, April 20, 2014 in the emergency room at Pekin Hospital. Ron was born December 16, 1933 in Pekin, IL to Don and Annette (Storer) Alexander. He married Eva Zimmerman on February 14, 1953 in Eureka, IL. Preceding in death is his parents, one grandson, Daniel E. Martinez, one son-in-law, Jerry Humphrey. Surviving is: his wife, Eva of Pekin; one son, Carey Alexander of Pekin; three daughters, Becky Humphrey of Liverpool, IL, Lori (Bob) Sexton of Pekin and Renee Alexander of Pekin, one sister, Barb Mann of Pekin; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Ron was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked at Caterpillar as a tool and die maker for 30 years retiring in 1983. He owned and operated C.R. Alexander Accounting and C.A.R. Financial from 1967-2014. He was a member of the Jaycees, Pekin Moose Lodge #916, Pekin Elks Lodge #1271 and the South Side Business Association. A memorial service will be at 7:00 PM Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Judy Doyle officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation has been accorded. Memorial contributions may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
