Colleen Beth Ray

Colleen Beth Ray, 86 of Pekin passed away at 9:24 am, Thursday, March 13, 2025 at her home. She was born June 30, 1938 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota to Eldredge and Janet (Reynolds) Brewster. She married Gordon Ray. He preceded her in death in 2019. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Todd; two brothers, Charles Paul "Chuck" Brewster Sr. and Robert James Brewster. Colleen is survived by her son, Scott Gordon Ray (Andee); Grandchildren, Zachary Ray, Colton Merreighn, Andrew Ray (Grace), Addison Ray (Cannon), Thaddeus Shelton-Ray, Spencer Ray, DeLanee Ray, Elliott (Lio) Ray; great-grandchildren, Dawson & Eli Merreighn, Faron, Cecelia and Bridgette Ray, & Arizona Shelton-Ray. She is also survived by brother-in-law, Alan Ray and family and Brenda Ray and family. She graduated from the University of Dubuque, IA. She attended nursing school and later taught nursing school. She also worked as a home health nurse. Colleen traveled with her husband of 56 years, Gordon to his many ministries from Leets, Monessen, Aliquippa, Carnegie, Camp Lutherlyn, and White Oak. She enjoyed reading, quilting and cross stitch just to name a few. Inurnment will be at the First Lutheran Church Columbarium, 615 Grand Street, Pittsburgh, PA.
