Claude "Dino" William Senecal

Claude William "Dino" Senecal, 71 of South Pekin passed away at 12:17 am, July 8, 2024 at Carle Methodist Health Hospital in Peoria. He was born in Leominster, MA on April 17, 1953 to Claude William Perron and Ruth Dorothy (Stevenson)Perron. He was raised by his foster parents, Henri and Lillian (Nishan) Lavallee. He was preceded in death by; his parents & foster parents; one brother Wilfred Perron; sister Phyllis Guilmette; sister Christine McCormick and his best buddy, Lily his dog. Dino is survived by; one daughter, Ann (Jim) Jurrians of Wayland, MI two sons, Scott (Amanda) Senecal of South Pekin and Patrick (Lindsey) Senecal of Santa Rita, Guam; eight grandchildren, Nichole, Ian (Kara), Caleb (Jessica), Taylor (Taylor), Ella (Jon), Liam, Milo, Theo; four great-grandchildren, Avery, Harper, Mila, Hudson with one more great-granddaughter expected; sisters, Jeraldine Collado of Norman, OK; Wanda Kulavic(Mark) of Valparaiso, IN; Ann Fish of Phoenix, AZ; Ruth Marble of Clinton, MA; Michele Simonueau(John) of Worcester,MA; Loda Whittredge(Bruce) of Thompson, CT; and former spouses and mothers of his children Mila Senecal and Marlene Davidson. Dino was a 1971 graduate of Auburn High School, Auburn, MA. He served his country proudly, a Vietnam veteran with service in the Marines. When it came time to re-enlist, he chose the United States Navy serving until retirement. Dino cherished the friendships he made during his years with the military and stayed in touch with his fellow servicemen. He was quite talented, enjoyed tinkering with electronics and as a jack of all trades would help with any project his family needed help with. He was kind and generous and always willing to help someone in need. He had a wicked sense of humor which he passed on to his grandchildren. His greatest treasure and love were his family, especially his grandchildren cherishing the time he could spend with them. It brought him immense joy when everyone could get together in Illinois or in Michigan. He will be dearly missed by them but the memory of him will live on in their hearts forever. Per his request, cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to T.A.P.S. or the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
