Clark "Burnie' Stanton Burnham, 50, lost a long battle with cancer at 12:00 am, Friday, May 11, 2007, at the Pekin Hospital emergency room in Pekin. Clark was born in Macomb, Illinois on July 14, 1956, to Scott Silver and Alice Clark Burnham.Clark and his wife Nancy were companions for 23 years uniting in marriage on November 11, 1990 in Tucson, AZ. Surviving are; his wife, Nancy of Pekin ; one son, Kenton at home; his step mother, Joanne Findley Burnham of Macomb; two sisters, Robin (and Steve) Clawson of Seattle, WA and Kendra Burnham of Scottsdale, AZ. He was preceded in death by his father Scott, who passed away on April 21, 2007. Except for the 10 years when he and Nancy lived in Tucson, Clark lived in west-central Illinois his entire life.He was a graduate of Macomb High School and attended Western Illinois University.Before moving to Tucson, Clark worked with his father at Burnham & Burnham Insurance Agency in Macomb.When he and Nancy moved to Pekin, Clark decided to pursue another of his passions and put his computer skills to work as a Computer Software Technician for ATS in Peoria, IL. Clark began playing golf as soon as he could walk, he was a member of the Macomb High School Golf Team, and was a junior player at the Macomb Country Club, where he won many golf awards and various tournaments. Clark loved to cook, and his family and friends will miss the wonderful meals and other special foods he prepared.Clark was a member of the Tucson BPO Elks Club and the Pekin Metro Soccer Board for several years.
