Clarence Leon Turner

Clarence Leon Turner,92, of 6528 Bass Road, Manito, passed away at 1:15 pm,Thursday, February 1, 2007 at Pekin Hospital. Clarence was born July 27, 1914 in Middletown, IL to James Elmer and Ellen Wisner Turner.He married Mildred C. Nutt in September 1931.She passed away April 1996. He had two sisters who also preceded him in death, Katherine Voros and Clara Caldwell. Surviving are two sons; Louis L. (Joan) Turner, and Dennis A. (Janie) Turner, both of Metamora; one daughter, Donna Bailey of Peoria; one sister Dorothy Brown of Tucson, AZ; ten grand children; twenty-seven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Clarence owned and operated Turner Roofing for 40 years.He retired in December 1978. Clarence was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
