Clara R. Reynolds

Clarabelle R. 'Clara' Stout Reynolds, 78, of Pekin passed away at 3:54 PM Saturday, December 5, 2009 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Clara was born on March 26, 1931 in South Pekin, IL to John F. and Hazel (Atherton) Baker. She married Thomas L. Stout on January 4, 1950 in Peoria. She later married J. Russell Reynolds on October 20, 1962 in Pekin. He died on April 7, 1998. Preceding in death are her parents. Surviving is: two sons, Thomas R. Stout and Ronald E. Stout Sr. both of Pekin; three grandchildren, Eric Stout, Patricia Howard and Ronald E. Stout Jr.; two great grandchildren, Ryan Howard and Alexandria Riviere; five sisters, Mary Becker of Pekin, Loretta (Harold) Hindhal of Manito, Betty Barrick of Florida, Shirley (Donald) Wineburner of Florida and Zoe Ann (Corky) of Washburn, IL. Clara worked as a telecom operator for OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria and as a greeter for Walmart in Pekin. She retired in 1993 after thirty-four years. Clara is a member of Congregational United Church of Christ in Pekin. She was past president and woman of the year for the American Business Women. She was past President Del Phi and also National President. She was member of American Legion post #44 Auxiliary, Lupus Foundation and pass president of OSF Senior Saints. She volunteered for Easter Seals and Children's Miracle Network.
