Clara K. Burise

Clara K. Burise, 92, of Pekin, IL passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois. Clara was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky on January 26, 1918 to parents Harry Harmon and Bobbie Lonell (Francis) Hayes.Clara attended Pekin Community High School and married Jerome O. Burise on December 9, 1938.Jerry, who preceded her in death, passed away on April 26, 2000. Surviving is one daughter, Lynda (John) Burise-Lantz and one granddaughter, Liza Marie Lantz, both of Earlville, IL. Clara worked for Velde Lumber Company for twenty-five years as a secretary.She was also a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church in Pekin.Clara enjoyed reading, traveling, playing cards, and entertaining.However, her time spent in her house on Lake Arlann in Pekin was the most fulfilling and worthwhile part of her life.
