Christopher L. Hill

Christopher Lawrence Hill, 30, of Normal, Illinois passed away at his home Wednesday, June 1, 2022. Chris was born to Jon and Christie (Grapperhaus) Hill on April 6, 1992 in Peoria, Illinois. He married his best friend and the love of his life Emma Taylor on June 15, 2019 in Normal,Illinois. She survives He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mary Alice Hill. Chris is survived by his parents, one brother Cameron Hill, maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Margaret Grapperhaus, paternal grandfather Robert Hill, and in-laws William and Kelly Taylor. He leaves behind (aunts and uncles) Dave Hill, Dan (Christine) Hill, Mary (Ken) Canales, Cindy Tosi, Carrie Schramm, Connie (Shawn) Mason and all his beloved cousins and friends. Chris also leaves behind his beloved pets, his dog Finn and his cat Raisin. Chris attended St. Joseph Catholic School, grades K-8 and graduated from Pekin Community High School, class of 2010. He received his Associates degree from ICC in 2013 and Bachelors degree from ISU in 2015, where he and Emma are both alumni. Chris was an educator, employed at Deland-Weldon School District from 2015-2022.Chris enjoyed sports, hiking, walking Finn, disc golf, reading and music. He was an avid Beatles fan and rooted for the Memphis Grizzlies. He was passionate about helping others and did so with incredible patience. Chris loved spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 pm, Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home and Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin. Recitation of the Rosary for Chris will be at 12:30pm, Saturday, June 11, at the funeral home. A private service was held prior to cremation.
