Christina Rene' Powers

Christina Rene’ Powers, 60, of Morton, IL passed away at 5:39 PM Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at OSF St Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

Chris was born on May 31, 1966 in Peoria, IL to Lee and Tina (Cummings) Powers.

Surviving are: her father, Lee (Jan) Powers of Pekin, IL; her mother, Tina Powers of California; one son, Roman Solmon of Los Angeles, CA; one brother, Ryan (Heather) Powers of Morton, IL; one daughter, Lauren Solmon of Seattle, WA; two nieces, Liberty and Hope Powers of Morton, IL; one sister, Debra Lyn Powers of Seattle, WA.

Chris was teacher and principal in the Los Angeles area schools. She enjoyed a healthy life style of exercising and walking. She enjoyed reading. She was a very compassionate person with a gentle heart.

Cremation will be accorded with a Celebration of Life at a later date. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with Christina’s arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
