Christa Eva Marie Kohl

Christa Eva Maria Kohl, 87, of Pekin, IL passed away at 11:55 PM Monday, February 16, 2015 at Pekin Hospital. Christa was born on December 24, 1927 in Hasel, Germany to Peter and Margaret (Schmidt) Assmann. She married Heinrich Kohl on December 26, 1953 in Germany. He passed away on December 1, 2014. Also preceding in death are her parents, four brothers and five sisters. Surviving are: two sons, Henry (Vickey) Kohl and Erwin Kohl both of Pekin; three grandchildren, Katrina (Kevin) Dulin of Houston, TX, Karen Kohl and Henry J. (Cassi) Kohl both of Pekin; three great grandchildren, Clare Dulin, Presley and Jackson Kohl. Christa was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church Green Valley. She loved baking cookies for her family and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, February 20, 2015 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. in Pekin with Pastor Kevin Bueltmann and Chris Sansom officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sand Prairie Cemetery near Green Valley. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church.
