Chesley C. Jones

Chesley C. Jones, 82, formerly of New Haven, MO, passed away at 8:20 pm, Monday, March 12, 2007 at Timber Creek Rehab and Health in Pekin. He was born on April 7, 1924 in Buckner, IL to Gale and Ollie Thomas Jones.He married Arliss Pierce in 1947 in Peoria, IL, she died in 1980.He later married Wanetta McBride in 1981 in New Haven, MO, she died 1996. Surviving are one daughter; Janet (Skip) Pavlons of Pekin; one granddaughter, Alisha (Meyrick) Roberts of Murrietta CA. Chesley was a member of the First Baptist Church in New Haven MO.He was also a member of the Lions Club, VFW, and Masonic Lodge in New Haven.He was a WWII Navy Veteran. He was a heat treat operator for Caterpillar for thirty years and also worked ten years as a school janitor in New Haven.Chesley enjoyed repairing small engines and loved to go fishing.
