Cheryl F. Eitenmiller, 73 of Pekin, passed away at 11:15am, Monday October 30, 2017 at her home. She was born a leap-year baby, February 29, 1944 to Kenneth and Lois (Millburn) Shelton. She married Frederick W. Eitenmiller Sr. in Peoria on August 3, 1960. From this union, seven children were born. Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, and one son Jeffrey Thomas Eitenmiller, one brother Christopher Shelton, one sister Rosemary Redditt, step-father Robert Mott Sr., Step-mother, Priscilla Shelton and one nephew, Jacob Rodgers. She is survived by her mother Lois, three sons, Frederick (Melanie) Eitenmiller Jr. of Pekin, Bradley Eitenmiller of Pekin, and Curt (Gosia) Eitenmiller of Knoxville, TN; three daughters, Kimberly (Melinda Meisel) Eitenmiller of Morton, Jill (Michael) Velpel of Pekin, and Cynthia (Kevin) Miller of Whangarei Heads, New Zealand. Eleven grandchildren; Jared Eitenmiller, Bryce Eitenmiller, Shelby Eitenmiller, Kelcie Eitenmiller, Autumm Eitenmiller, Lidia Bronkowska, Jacob Easley, Thomas Eitenmiller, Kyle Hintz, Michaela Velpel, Caroline Miller and Julia Miller. Three great-grandchildren; Libby Eitenmiller, Kellyn Eitenmiller and Sawyer Eitenmiller. Four sisters; Lisa (Garry) Hicks, Susan Rothenberger, Joanna (Eric) Patrick and Sharon (Dave) Reinberg. Six brothers; Wayne (Kathy) Mott Jr., Joel Shelton, Thomas (Christine) Shelton, Jeffrey (Tianna) Shelton, Steven (Ericka) Shelton and Scott (Lezlie) Shelton. Cheryl was a faithful member of New Covenant Church of God in Mapleton. She loved puzzles, word searches and crosswords. Cheryl greatly valued playing cards with her girlfriends. Her greatest treasure was her family, especially her grandchildren. She also leaves behind her dog, Gizmo. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 6, 2017, at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr., Pekin. The Rev. John Vaughn will officiate. A visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Sunday, November 5 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens, Pekin.
