Charlotte M. Hampton

Charlotte Hampton, 92, of Peoria, IL formerly of Paxton, IL passed away at 3:10 AM Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at her home.

Charlotte was born on March 13, 1933 at Mt. Pleasant, IA to Ed and Maxine (Lyon) Taylor. She married Ronald Hampton in 1968. He passed away September 15, 2020.

Also preceding in death is one sister, Maxine.

Surviving are: three daughters, Christine (Baird Woolsey) Crosby of Peoria, Carol (Jim) Fetty of Waynesville, NC and Lena Buysse of High Springs, FL; eight grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; one sister, Karen Chiliski of Gold Canyon, AZ.

Charlotte was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Paxton. She had worked at Eisner’s in Champaign, IL for many years.

There will be no services. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with Charlotte’s arrangements.
