Charles H. Wood

Charles H. Wood, 89, of Pekin, IL passed away at 10:55 PM Thursday, December 10, 2020 at his home. Chuck was born on April 17, 1931 in Pekin to Eben and Bertha (Hall) Wood. He married Beverly Ann Reis on May 30, 1951. She passed away on December 24, 2006. Also preceding in death are his parents, one son-n-law, Dale Hollingsworth and one sister, Bertha Eileen Severs. Surviving are: one son, Charles A. (Donita) Wood of Pekin; one daughter, Kathy Hollingsworth of Eureka, IL; two grandchildren, Dawn (Eric Nash) Vercie and Charles M. Wood; two great grandchildren, Haley Nash and Colton Vercie; one great grandson, Colton "CJ" Vercie; one sister, Lucille Scott of Phoenix, AZ. Chuck was veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Keystone Steel & Wire for 41 years retiring in 1995. Private graveside services will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with Chucks arrangements.
