Charles Robert Mcglothlin

Charles Robert 'Bob' McGlothlin, 68, of Pekin, IL passed away at 11:16 AM Thursday, July 4, 2019 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Bob was born on May 2, 1951 in Martins Ferry, OH to Thomas and Ella (Cruise) McGlothlin. He married Laura Girard on December 24, 1986 in Pekin. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Rick McGlothlin. Surviving are: his wife, Laura of Pekin; three sons, Timothy, (Ginnie) Girard of South Pekin, Scott A. (Michelle) McLaughlin and Charles 'Bobby' (Erma) McGlothlin Jr, both of Pekin; one daughter, Ardella (Francis) Everhart of Pekin; twelve grandchildren, two great granddaughters and one great grandchild on the way; two brothers, Virgil McGlothlin of Havana and Kenny McGlothlin of Topeka; one sister, Sharon (Ed) Sprinkle of Topeka. Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was the owner-operator of B&K Builders for many years. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with family and going to family gatherings. Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Pekin. Visitation will be from Noon till 1:15 PM on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Navy and the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team.
