Charles W. Hasty Iii

Charles W. "Chuck" Hasty III, 78, of Groveland, IL passed away at 9:35 AM Friday, December 23, 2021 at his home. Chuck was born on December 23, 1943 in Danville, IL to Charles W. and Eleanor L. (Bitner) Hasty Jr. He married Mary Hasty on November 14, 1970 in Pekin. She passed away on September 16, 2018. Also preceding in death are his parents and one sister, Maxine Hasty. Surviving is: one son, Chuck (Julie) Hasty IV of Morton; one daughter, Sara Hasty of Pekin; three grandchildren, Ethan Vaughn, Sam and Charlie Hasty; one brother, Paul Ferguson of Columbus, OH and one sister, Darlene Buchannan of Mesa, AZ; several nieces and nephews. Chuck was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United State Marine Corps. He was owner of Hasty Heating and Air Conditioning for over 40 years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge # 916 and American Legion Post #979. He enjoyed riding horses and hunting trips to Montana and Wyoming. He also enjoyed taking road trips in his RV. A visitation celebrating Chucks life will be from 12:30 PM 2:30 PM Friday, January 7, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
