Charles Edward Gregory

Charles E. 'Ray' Gregory, 87, of 600 LaSalle Blvd. Marquette Heights, IL passed away at 3:05 pm Monday, September 1, 2008 at Pekin Hospital. Charles was born September 6, 1920 to Albert Ross and Ada Maude (Usery) Gregory. He married Patricia Riviera Lopez on May 3, 1947 in Puerto Rico. She died January 23, 2003. Surviving are: four sons, Kevin (Marcia) of Pekin, Eddie (and Mary) of Chillicothe, IL, Tony (and Patricia) of Peoria Heights and Robert (and Mariliee) of Pekin; two daughters, Kathleen Gregory of Creve Coeur, IL and Barbara (and Jim) Thompson of Pekin; one sister, Ruth Metcalf of Ozark, MO; nineteen grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren. Charles retired from Caterpillar, Inc. as a machine operator on September 1, 1982 after 31 years. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Air Force.
