Charles "Charlie" Davis

Charles "Charlie" Davis, 69, of Pekin, passed away at 9:10 PM Thursday, April 4, 2019 at UnityPoint Health - Pekin Emergency Room. Charlie was born to William Cecil and Berla 'Monger' Davis on July 24, 1949 in Knoxville, TN. He married his beloved Catherine Faye Gennoe on July 14, 1977.Cat preceded him in death on June 14, 2009. His parents also preceded him in death. He is survived by; one son, Rusty Davis of Pekin; one daughter Brandi (Chris) Thomas of San Jose, IL; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, B William (Elaine) Davis of Lewiston, IL, and Steve (Kathy) Davis of Cedar Rapids, IA. Charlie served in the United States Marine Corp. He owned and operated Charlie's Aquarium in Pekin for 22 years. Pets have always been his hobby.He was a radio controlled airplane enthusiast, building and flying his own planes. He enjoyed art and was an accomplished amateur artist. Charlie loved life, and lived it to the fullest. He was blessed with many good friends and will be greatly missed. A visitation for Charlie will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr., Pekin. His graveside service will be immediately following the visitation at Glendale Memorial Gardens, 18119 State Rt 9, Pekin, with Military Honors provided by the United States Marines and the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team.
