Heaven has surely gained a new and beautiful angel in Cathy Davis on June 14, 2009.Catherine Faye Gennoe Davis (Cat) passed peacefully at her home in Pekin, Illinois surrounded by her loving family and friends. Cathy was the truest example of faith, generosity and unconditional love, sharing her time and talents with many family, friends, and even total strangers as often as possible.She was known for her great artistic skills and love of animals and gardening.She opened her heart and her home to everyone.Above all else, Cat adored her family and friends and her role as a wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She grew up in Sunnyland with her two sisters, Joyce Gennoe (ED)Chapman and Patricia Gennoe (Steve) Crawford and parents Shaver and Ercel Gilliam Gennoe.She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Juanita.She is survived by and lovingly remembered by her husband Charlie Davis; her daughter Brandi Thomas and her husband and children; her son, Rusty Davis and his children, her sisters, Joyce and Pat and their families, along with many other relatives and friends. Cathy married her sweetheart, Charlie, on July 14, 1977 and the happy couple resided in Pekin, Illinois.Cathy and Charlie own and operate Charlie's Aquarium and Artworks in Pekin.You could often find Cathy on Friday nights teaching painting classes at the Artwork's studio.When not painting, Cathy often spent time scrapbooking, traveling with her 'travel buddies', finding mischief with her best friend, Rose, or visiting various casinos with her true love, Charlie. We all will miss Cathy and will honor and celebrate her life.
