Carolyn J. Angle

Carolyn J. Angle, 91, of East Peoria, IL passed away at 7:21 AM Thursday, June 13, 2024 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Carolyn was born June 19, 1932 in Birds, IL to John and Hildred (Goff) Barrix. She married Francis Angle on June 19, 1949 in Lawrenceville, IL. He died on January 9, 1996. She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Harmon Pinkstaff and one sister, Wilma Reddick. Surviving are: one son, Stan (Barb) Angle of Creve Coeur, IL; two daughters, Francina (Bill) Stone of Marquette Heights, IL and Mariea (Courtney) Watkins of Pekin; five grandchildren, Nick Watkins, Trista Stone, Joe, Curt and Brian Angle; thirteen great grandchildren; one brother, Harold (Nancy) Barrix of Lincoln; two sisters, Lucille Sutton of Mountain View, AR and Myra Smith of Richmond, VA. Carolyn worked as a hairdresser for many years and then worked at Chicago Title until retiring. She was a member of East Peoria Church of Christ where she was active in the Ladies Bible Club, Food Pantry and serving funeral dinner. She enjoyed gardening, card club and quilting. She also enjoyed traveling with her girls, and her favorite trip was when they went to London. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be from5:00 PM -7:00 PM Monday, June 17th at the funeral home. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to East Peoria Church of Christ Food Pantry 520 Arnold Rd, East Peoria, IL 61611.
