Carole "Kae" Curry

Carole M. "Kae" Curry, 82, of Pekin passed away at 11:04 AM Friday, March 28, 2025 at her residence. Kae was born on May 25, 1942 in Peoria, IL to Charles W. and Pearline (Steakley) Tyler. She married Louis J. Besson and later to John H. Curry on June 22, 1984. He passed away on Dec. 8, 1990. Also preceding in death are her long-time companion, Virgil R. Schmidt on Nov. 21, 2014. Surviving are: one son, Brian J. (Cheri) Besson of Three Lakes, WI, two grandsons, Brandon (Cassie Murray) Jackson and Tyler (Heather Henry) Besson; three great grandchildren, Taylyn Besson, Dylan Murray and Bentley Seward. Kae graduated from San Jose High School in 1960 and from Hi Fashion Beauty College in1960. She worked as a hair dresser in Pekin for 50 years before retiring in 2011. Graveside service will be at a later date in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to the Villas of Hollybrook in Pekin or Transitions Hospice.
