Carol J. Riley

Carol J. Riley, 77, of Pekin, IL passed away at 3:20 AM Friday, August 14, 2015 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Carol was born on January 10, 1938 in Pekin to Gustav and Dorothy (Neill) Duthoo. She married Charles Riley on September 15, 1956 in Pekin. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Michael and one brother. Surviving are: her husband, Chuck of Pekin; two daughters, Kristi (Travis) Casper of Pekin and Michelle Myers of Canton, IL; one grandson, Daniel (Brittney) Sargent of Peoria; two great grandchildren, Nikolas Sargent and Marley Burbidge; one brother, Jim (Pat) Duthoo of Princeville, IL; one sister; special nieces, Melanie (Rick) Wallinger of Pekin and Beth (Tony) Pullen of Peoria; cousin, Audrey Taylor of Bartonville, IL; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Carol worked at Bergners in Pekin for many years. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards and entertaining friends and family. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at St. Paul United Church of Christ with Rev. Dr. Brian Byrne officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Monday, August 17 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin and one hour before services at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ or TAPS. The family would like to thank the entire staff at the OSF Richard L.
