Carol Lauterbach

Carol Lauterbach, 87, of Battlement Mesa, CO and formerly of Pekin passed away Saturday, August 6, 2011 in Colorado. Carol was born on June 8, 1924 in Crawfordsville, IN to Bradley and Elizabeth (Gentry) Brown. She married Donald E. Lauterbach on December 13, 1944 in Florida. He died on March 10, 2010. Also preceding in death are her parents, one brother and one sister. Surviving are: one son, Larry Lauterbach of Peoria, IL; two daughters, Laurel (John) Koning of Battlement Mesa, CO and Linda (Bob) Pinkston of Valdosta, GA; six grandchildren, Roxanne Evans, Nicholas (Jessica) Hogue, Nichole Hogue, Natalie (Jarid) Singletary, Lisa Waszak and Lyndsey Waszak; five great grandchildren, Prestin Begeman, Caitlyn Hogue, Kirsten Evans, Hanah Evans and Andrew Hogue. Carol was a member of the First Christian Church in Pekin. She served as an election judge for many years and was active in PTA while her children were in school. She was an avid golfer. Services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, August 12, 2011 at Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin. Officiating will be Rev. Dwight Borden.Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Thursday, Aug 11 at the funeral home.
