PEORIA ~ Carol. A. Hamilton - James, 73 of Peoria, passed away surrounded by her family at 7:41 pm, Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at UnityPoint Health - Methodist in Peoria. She was born June 16, 1945 in Peoria, IL to Earl and Irma 'Brown' Huser. She married William Hamilton and they had two sons. He passed away in 1977. She married David James who also preceded her in death. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husbands William and David; and three sisters, Sandi Lakin, Becky LeMasters, and Donna Bentley. She is survived by two sons, Mike (Amanda) Hamilton of Pekin, and Brian Hamilton of Creve Coeur, IL; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Pam (Matt) Smith of Peoria, and Jan (Ron) Regini of Florida. Carol was a homemaker most of her life, who enjoying NASCAR and fishing. Her true treasure and greatest joys of her life were her grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, July 3 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Drive, Pekin with Rev. Dr. Linda Philabaun officiating. A visitation will be two hours prior also on Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Illinois Cancer Care Foundation, 8940 N. Wood Sage Road, Peoria, IL 61615.
