Carla Jo Porter

Carla Jo Porter, 73, of Pekin, IL passed at 10:13 PM Saturday, February 22, 2025 peacefully at her home. Carla was born on March 18, 1951 in Pekin to James L. and Mary K. (Kumpf) Ranney. She married Rick Porter on October 4, 2008 in Pekin. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Michael L. Ranney and her childhood best friend, Donna Sea. Surviving are: one son, Derek Stout (Courtney Schneider) of Pekin; one daughter, Crisi Antonini of Pekin, and one daughter-in-law, Stefanie Stout of Pekin; three step sons, John Porter of Florida, Richard (Tracy) Porter of Champaign, IL, James Porter of Florida; four grandchildren, Dereka Stout (Colby Maile), Lainee Antonini, Blake Stout, and Landen Antonini (Camryn Tunney); three great grandchildren, Lennon Antonini, Daely Crisman and Coralynn Maile; six step grandchildren, Brittany Toungett, Brandon, Nicole, Collin, Lilly and Maya Porter; one brother, Greg (Gloria) Ranney of Pekin; many nieces and nephews; her Tuesday night crew, Laurie, Monica and Julie; and her baby dog, Callee Porter. Carla was the matriarch and the center of her familys world. She was endlessly loyal to her family and their most devoted fan. Carla cherished any free time she could spend with her grandkids and great-grandkids. As an animal lover, she will be missed by the hummingbirds she so lovingly cared for. Every Sunday, she cheered on the Chicago Bears from her living room, alongside her husband. Carlas artistic and creative spirit, along with her love for music, was passed down to her family. Although she will be deeply missed every moment by those she left behind, they take a small comfort in knowing she is now reunited with the loved ones she hasnt seen in many years. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Friday, February 28, 2025 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Eric Swanson officiating.
