Carl Edmond Watts

Carl E. Watts, 82, of North Pekin passed away at 4:02 PM Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Pekin Hospital. Carl was born on July 26, 1928 in Esther, MO to William Edward and Lucinda Jane (Allen) Watts. He married Mary L. Pannebecker on September 16, 1950 in Flat River, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters. Surviving are: his wife, Mary of North Pekin; two sons, Michael (Mary) Watts of Springfield, MO and Stephen (Sylvia) Watts of Elmwood, IL; three grandchildren, Sue Watts, Christopher (Stephanie) Seaton and Stefanie Seaton; five great grandchildren, Jaylee, Peyton, Abbi, Taig and Xaiden. Carl was of the Methodist faith. He enjoyed woodworking and working in his yard. He loved spending time with his family and helping others. Carl was veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the United States Marine Corps. He retired on July 1, 1982 from the machine shop at Caterpillar, Inc. Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin. The Rev. Dan Chambers will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Wednesday, April 13 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin with military honors provided by United States Marine Corps. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
