Burllen A. "Bernie" Crane

Burllen A. 'Bernie' Crane, 80, of Manito, IL passed away at 7:47 PM Saturday, April 19, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Bernie was born on February 23, 1934 in Dixon, MO to Samuel and Beatrice (Wright) Crane.He married Thelma Page. She passed away on January 1, 2003. He married Shirley Wiker on May 19, 2004 in Harrisburg, IL. Preceding in death are his parents, one step daughter, Sherry Page and one sister, Betty Abrain. Surviving is: five step sons, Kent (Kelly) Wiker of Pekin, Brian Wiker of Pekin, Brent (Paula) Wiker of Spring Grove, IL, Joe Page of Elizabethtown, IL and Dave (Kim) Page of Americus, GA; two step daughters, Veronica Wiker of Waukegan, IL and Connie (Todd) Shelabarger of Manito; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Bernie was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a machinist at Caterpillar for 30 years retiring in 1982. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM -7:00 PM Tuesday, April 22 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
