Bruce Frazier, 79 of Pekin, passed away at 1:59 pm, Monday, March 19, 2012 at his home.Arrangements are pending. Bruce was born on October 19, 1932 in Union City, TN to Edward C. and Edith (Collins) Frazier. He married Martha Williams on January 24, 1953 in Pekin.She passed away on April 11, 2004. His parents preceded him in death. Surviving is: two daughters, Linda (Jim) Haas of Pekin and Dianne (Gorden) Vehlow of Pekin; four grandchildren, Jason (Shelley) Haas of Akron, OH, Christopher Vehlow, Matthew (Christianna) Vehlow and Anne (Edwin) Schultz all of Pekin; three great grandchildren, Alix Schmidt, Adison Haas and Zander Vehlow; one brother, Harold (Betty) Frazier of Tampa, FL; one sister, Sylvia (Lynn) Travelstead of Ledbetter, KY. Bruce was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Commonwealth Edison Powerton Plant for 34 years retiring in 1988. Bruce was a member of the Powerton Playboys, Marine Corp League and American Legion. He was a former member of the Elks and Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.Bruce loved family meals and spending time with family especially his grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, March 23, 2012 at Henderson Funeral Home with Rev. Kristie Peterson officiating. Visitation will from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Burial of the cremated remains will be in Lakeside Cemetery with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marine Corps League 1211 Shady Lane Pekin, IL 61554.
