Brenda Stewart

Brenda F. Stewart, 61, of Marquette Heights, IL passed away at 5:53 AM Saturday, November 04, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Brenda was born on March 14, 1956 in Pekin to Joe W. and Ella 'Jean' (Houser) Bevels. She married John Stewart on October 14, 1978 in Pekin. She was preceded by her mother, one daughter, Amanda J. 'Mandi' Stewart and one brother, Terry Lee Bevels. Surviving are: her husband, John of Marquette Heights; two sons, David Stewart of Marquette Heights and Bryan Stewart of Sumner, IL; two grandchildren, Annalyn and Parker Etcheson of South Carolina; her father, Joe Bevels of Pekin; one brother, Mike Bevels of Pekin. Brenda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pekin. She was a wonderful quilter and enjoyed teaching others how to quilt. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her friends. Brenda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Henderson Funeral Home and Crematory 2131 Velde Dr., Pekin with Pastor Brad Martin officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Wednesday, November 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prairie Haven Cemetery.
