Bransfore "Brad" Steinborn

Bransfore "Brad" Steinborn, 90, of Pekin, IL passed away at 12:05 AM Monday, August 15, 2022 at his daughters home in Peoria, IL. Brad was born on March 7, 1932 in Bartonville, IL to Bruno and Velda (Reakenwalt) Steinborn. He married Delores Claton July 11, 1954. She passed away on October 30, 2012. Also preceding in death are his parents, two brothers, Bert Steinborn and Bruno Steinborn and one sister, Pauline Sadowski. Surviving are: one daughter, Cheryl Abel of Peoria; two sons, David (LaVon) Steinborn and Mike (Kim) Steinborn both of Pekin; seven grandchildren, Shane (Sabrina) Abel, Steven Steinborn, Jennifer Houston, Ross (Cara) Steinborn, Chad (Morgan) Steinborn, Macey (Sterling) Eser and Jordan (Michael) Matthews; eighteen great grandchildren, Olivia Clark, Anja and Brynlei, Jennelle (Alec Damron) Muller, Eagen and Zaynder Houston, Robert, Kayla and Carter Abel, Addison, Beckett and Cashton Matthews, Eleanor, Lincoln, Abigail and Scout Steinborn, Blakely and Rori Eser. Brad worked at Keystone Steel and Wire for 32 years retiring in 1982. He then worked at First Christian Church in Pekin for 20 years and Pekin Community High School as janitor. He was a member of First Christian Church and Congregational United Church of Christ. He enjoyed playing Dart ball in the three church leagues for over twenty years. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. He had a love for Volkswagens for many years. Brad enjoyed over fifty years at the family cabin on Rice Lake, WI. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Dr. Gerald Tupper and Rev. Mark Foglio officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, August 22nd at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
