Brandon Austin Herndon

Brandon A. Herndon, 17, of Pekin, IL passed away at 3:30 PM Saturday, December 3, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Brandon was born on April 2, 2005 in Pekin to Steve Herndon and Sarah Sandall. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Shirley Tegtmeyer, Warren A. Sandall, and Loren Oesch. Surviving are his parents, Sarah & Arron Sandall and Steve Herndon & Pam Oesch; one brother, Kyron Sandall, one sister, Alani Sandall; many grandparents, Dawn Tegtmeyer of Manito, Lester & Kathy Wernowsky of Glasford, Wayne & Belinda Herndon of Forest City, Surin Sandall of Pekin, and Connie & Don Carter of Bloomington, and his great grandfather Kenneth Tegtmeyer of Browning, along with his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He loved his dogs Codi and Reeces. Brandon loved animals, vacations, music, being outside, and loved his family & many friends. A Memorial Service will be at 12:00PM Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Jeff Leeman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior from 11:00 12:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to TAPS or Traumatic Brain Injury Organizations.
