Billy A. Wheat

Billy A. Wheat, 86, of Pekin, IL passed away at 10:35 PM Friday, March 22, 2013 at Hallmark House Nursing Center in Pekin. Billy was born on January 13, 1927 in Sadorus, IL to Reno and Norma Sally (Woods) Wheat. He married Llwelyn 'Jean' Jenkins on August 28, 1949 in Pekin. Preceding in death are his parents and three sisters, Mildred, Murl 'Peg' and Inez. Surviving is: his wife, Llwelyn 'Jean' of Pekin; two daughters, Brenda (Bobby) White of Metamora, IL and Kim Wheat of Pekin; one grandson Jared Roach of Boston, MA. Billy was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He had been employed at Corn Products Company as an electrician. He served in the United States Army. Billy was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Elvis. Cremation has been accorded with private burial at a later date in Lakeview Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Passages Hospice.
