Billy Josephine Fletcher

Billy Josephine Fletcher, 84 of Pekin passed away at 2:05 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014, in Timbercreek Rehab & Health Care in Pekin. Billy was born March 30, 1930, in Piggot, Arkansas, The daughter of Curtis Eugene and Nora Lela Montgomery Veach.She married Gale Pearson he passed away in 1954; she later married Earl Fletcher in April 1973 he died in 1986.Billy is also preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Alta Mae Brandalise and Sylvia Frost; and a special friend John Cole Sr. Surviving Billy are one son, Howard (Kathy) Pearson of Pekin; three grandchildren, Tonya (Greg) Burris, Nichole Pearson and Gene (Aime) Pearson; five great grandchildren, Alison Burris, Ryan Cargill Jr., Hunter Cargill, Nicholas Rowland and Brogan Pearson. Billy worked in retail Sales at the former Thrifty Drug store in downtown Pekin and retired in 1989 from Weaver's restaurant in Pekin.Billy enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, playing dominos and making crafts.In her younger years she drove stock cars and modeled. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Henderson Funeral Home and Crematory 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin. Rev. Dwight Winnett will officiate.Visitation will be Tuesday from Noon until service time. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
