Billie M. Reid

Wilimina Mae "Billie" Reid, 88 of Pekin passed away at 1:19 am, Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria. She was born to Willis "Bud" Henry & Luella Mae (Foster) White in Pekin on September 12, 1934. She married Johnnie C. Antonio on January 24, 1954. She later married Kenneth L Reid on January 17, 1976. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2003. Billie was also preceded in death by her parents, beloved sister, Bonnie Jean Winters; and one great grandson, Dyson Bailey. She is survived by; one daughter, Kristi (Mike) Sloter of Manito, IL; two sons, Michael D. (Marcia) Antonio, and David K. Reid both of Pekin; also her devoted step-son, Leighton (Debbie) Reid of Bucklin, MO; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Darlene Antonio of Pekin; dear cousin Billy Lee Hoch; and many beloved nieces and nephews; One of Billies greatest joys was opening her home to extended family and friends and caring for them as her own. She was loved and well known as Grandma Billie. Billie retired from CILCO after 27 years, she always felt honored to have worked there. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin. She was a 1952 Graduate of Pekin High School and was still attending their monthly reunion lunches. Her Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, April 29, 2023 at First United Methodist Church, 1315 Court St, Pekin with Rev. Jim McClarey officiating. A visitation will be held the night prior from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, April 28, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr, Pekin. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens, Pekin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Pekin.
