Betty D. Schlick

Betty D. Schlick, 93, of Peoria, IL passed away at 6:55 PM Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Heritage Health Care in El Paso, IL. Betty was born July 28, 1921 in Minneota, MN to Everett and Grace (Hendricks) Dahl. She married H. Marshall Schlick in 1946 in Des Moines, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, MaryAnn, granddaughter, Kristi Fryman and daughter in law, Kathie Schlick. Surviving is: two sons, Fred Schlick of Conway, SC and Scott (Debbie) Schlick of Liberty, MO; two daughters, Janna (James) McCoy of Blanchardville, WI and Carol (Alan)Denker of Bloomington, IL; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Betty was a longtime member of First English Lutheran Church in Peoria where she was very active. She volunteered at Common Place as tutor helping people learn to read. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, January 19, 2015 at First English Lutheran Church in Peoria. Rev. Randy Reese will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM Monday at the church. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory in Pekin is in charge of arrangements.
