Betty Sapp, 77, of Pekin passed away at 7:45 am Thursday, September 10, 2009 in the Emergency Room at Pekin Hospital. Betty was born on January 18, 1932 in Apple River, IL to Frank and Bernice (Gable) Bourquin. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister Eldoris White and one son, Timothy Sapp. Surviving are: ten children, Danise (Clifford) Brandt, Penny (Dan) Meixsell, Patti (Jeff) Schaefer, Brian Sapp, Jeffrey (Vicki) Sapp, Danny (Kathy) Sapp, Robyn (Jeff) Teuscher, Todd Sapp, Shawna (Jason) Erxleben and Shannon Sapp; twenty-two grandchildren, Jennica (Tim) Lokey, James (Stephanie) Brandt, Mike(Lolita) Brandt, Angelique (Don) Brush, Ryan (Jenae) Nimmo, Chris (Carla)Schaefer, Melissa (Todd) Vansaghi, Dustin (Jenny) Schaefer, Jessie Sapp, Cheyenne Sapp, Tyler Sapp, Brittany Davis, Jordan Sapp, Taylor Sapp, Danielle Sapp, Falynn Lannert, Alexis Sapp, Corey Sapp, Natasha Erxleben, Parker Erxleben, Elizabeth Erxleben and Landon Erxleben; twenty three great and great-great grandchildren; one brother, Kenny (Jeana)Bourquin; and one sister, Geraldine (Louie) Gonigam. Betty was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. She taught C.C.D. Classes for St. Joseph's and was a Boy Scout Den Mother. She also ran day care for countless children. Betty loved her gardens and spent countless hours feeding and tending to her beloved dog, Bonnie Jean. She was a devoted servant of God and never failed to pray for those in need. Her smile could light up any room. She was the strength of her family and dearly loved each and every one of them. She will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her and all of the lives she touched.
