Betty Phillips, 87, of Bartonville, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria with her family at her side.

She was born July 15, 1938, in Bartonville, to Peter and Mildred (Wilms) Rose. Bill Phillips and Betty were married on October 21, 1956, in Bartonville. They would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year.

Betty is survived by her husband, Bill of Bartonville; sons, Mike (Hayley) Phillips of Bartonville and Mark (Andrea) Phillips of Alabama; daughters, Cheri (Ray) Huffman of Mapleton and Gail (Brian) Allen of Bartonville; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two great-great granddaughters with two great-great grandchildren on the way; and brother, Edward (Norma) Rose of Bartonville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles; and sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Stanley Keyes.

Betty was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Bartonville.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.

Betty enjoyed listening to audio books, playing cards with friends, camping, boating and babysitting. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, great grandkids and great-great grandkids.

A private family service will take place. Burial will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Bartonville. Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting Betty's family with arrangements.

Memorial may be made to Illinois Cancer Care.

Betty's family would like to thank Carle Health - Methodist Hospital, and the incredible staff on the 7th and 8th floors, for the outstanding, compassionate care shown to Betty.
