Betty J. Helm

Betty J. Helm, 88, of Pekin, IL passed away at 11:30 PM Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Heartland Manor Care in Peoria. Betty was born July 22, 1922 in Volga, Iowa to Chauncey M. and Ida M. (Cline) House. She married John D. Helm on November 17, 1946 in Lockport, IL. He died June 23, 2000. Surviving are: two sons, David J. (Carol) Helm and Earl J. (Paula) Helm both of Pekin;five grandchildren, Shelley (Bill) Gregg of East Peoria, IL, Aaron (Shirlene) Selman of Pekin, Scot (Trish) Fulk of Pekin, David (Sherry) Fulk of Pekin and Tony (Laura) Fulk of Pekin; twelve great grandchildren; one brother, James R. (Mary Lou) House of Englewood, Florida. Bettyworked for the Tazewell County Supervisor of Assessments Office for 26 years retiring in 1997. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Pekin. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 21, 2011 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. The Rev. Brian Kellington will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Wednesday, April 20 at Henderson Funeral Home in Pekin. Cremation will be accorded after the services with inurnment in the church columbarium at a later date.
