Betty L. Heim

Betty L. Heim, 76, of rural Manito, IL passed away at 6:10 am Saturday, August 22, 2009 at her home. Betty was born on October 3, 1932 in Creve Coeur, IL to Nathan Alonzo and Ethel Elizabeth (Wasion) Patten. She married Arthur W. Heim on April 23, 1949 in Peoria, IL. He died on February 19, 1995. Also preceding in death are two sisters and seven brothers. Surviving are: two daughters, Helen (Joe) Beach of Pekin, IL and Marilyn (Don) Snyder of Manito, IL; five grandchildren, Joe (Jami) Beach Jr., Barbara (Scott) Waters, Walter Beach, Donald (Dovie) Snyder III and Angela (Ryan) Donnelly; thirteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Richard 'Dick' Patten of Missouri and Lester'Dale' (Carol) Patten of Broken Arrow, OK; two sisters, Irene (Phil) Holhnstein of Dana Point, CA and Marilyn Byard of Peoria, IL; a special friend, Aaron (Joyce) Miller of Augusta, IL and their daughters Jessica and Megan. Betty loved to bake cookies for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing and playing the organ. Betty was of the Pentecostal faith.
