Bernice Thomas

Bernice Thomas, 97, of 1320 Executive Dr. Pekin died at 9:12 pm Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Pekin Hospital. Bernice was born on June 22, 1912 in Oakford, IL to Oscar and Jenny (Vannaken) Severns. She married Carl I. Thomas on August 18, 1930 in Petersburg, IL. He died on January 25, 2000. Also preceding in death are her parents, four brothers, two half sisters and one half brother. Surviving is: one son, Kenneth (Susan) Thomas of Pekin; three daughters, Joann (Don) Cranwill, Joyce (W.C.) Morgan and Sharon (Cranwill) Parkin all of Pekin; one sister, Juanita Carter of Assumption, IL; twelve grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Bernice's life was built around her family.
