Ann L. Bailey

Ann L. Bailey, 92, of Pekin passed away at 1:10 am Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Pekin Hospital. Ann was born on August 21, 1916 in Divernon, IL to Louis and Etta (Stiltz) Fischer. She married Ross Hodgson. He died in 1952. She later married Arthur W. Bailey Sr. He died on January 11, 1985. Also preceding in death are: her parents; two grandsons, Donald Eugene Lee Jr. and Roland Ross Lee; one great granddaughter, Caitlyn Michelle Lee; her twin sister, Emma Hodgson and sister Elizabeth Chitwood; three brothers, William, Donald, and Woodrow Fischer. Surviving are: her daughter, Donna Lee of Pekin; her son, Terry (Clarinda) Hodgson of Pekin; five grandchildren, Lori (Steve) Jarvill, Phillip (Brenda) Lee, Nicole Baker, Nathan (Breann) Hodgson, and Ross Hodgson; nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; two brothers, Louis Fischer of Pekinand Everett Fischer of Mt. Hope, Alabama; and many nieces and nephews. Ann was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. She was a former member of the Women of the Moose Lodge in Pekin. Ann worked for International Paper Company in Peoria for 30 years retiring in 1986. She shared a special bond with those she worked with during those years.
