Alvin W. Becker

Alvin W. Becker, 87, of Pekin, passed away at 10:35 pm Saturday, October 20, 2007, at Pekin Manor. He was born on January 29, 1920, in Tazewell County, Illinois to John and Stella Hampton Becker.He married Mildred Hoerr on June 28, 1942, in Pekin.She survives. Also surviving are three sons; Greg (and Carol) Becker of Pekin, Gary (and Debby) Becker of Geneva, IL and Neal (and Stephanie) Becker of Houston, TX; one sister; Viola Schlottman of Pekin; two brothers; Raymond (Sharon) Becker and Melvin (Lois) Becker both of Pekin; six grandchildren; Adam, Ben, Kate, Matt, Andrew and Mark Becker; and three step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers; George Becker, Eugene Becker and Kenneth Becker. Alvin was a U S Army Veteran of WWII.He was a Letter Carrier for the United States Post Office in Pekin for more than 30 years retiring in 1978. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Pekin.
