Alice E. Wilson, 77, of Manito, IL, passed away at 1:28 p.m., Wednesday, November 08, 2017, surrounded by her loving family in her home. Alice was born August 15, 1940 in Sykeston, North Dakota to Magnus and Catherine (Hammes) Sondag.She married her high school sweetheart, Dean Wilson, on October 31, 1959 in Havana, IL.She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Jason, and her brother, Irv Sondag. She is survived by her husband, Dean; two sons, Rodney (Arlene) Wilson of Millstadt, IL, Randy (Lori) Wilson of Green Valley, IL; two daughters, Kelly (Clark) Oltman of Princeville, IL, Shelly (Bryan) Cordts of Lantana, TX; nine grandchildren, Mandy Heilman, Tyler Wilson, Mackenzie Wilson, Carter Oltman, Collin Oltman, Kennedy Oltman, Caleb Cordts, Madison Cordts, Gabriel Cordts;two step-grandchildren, Dan Ulbricht and Jeff Ulbricht; four great grandchildren, Brady Hackman, Jace Hackman, Oliver Ulbricht, and Braxton Cordts; four brothers, George (Jackie) Sondag, Peoria, IL, Alfred (Joan) Sondag of East Peoria, IL, James (Nancy) Sondag and Merlyn (Tina) Sondag both of Manito; one sister, Irene Wagner of Havre, MT. Her passions were living life in love and laughter, taking care of her family, her precious grandchildren and friends.Her faith in Jesus Christ and Mother Mary never faltered.Her hobbies included creating pieces of art with her grandchildren, sewing, quilting, ceramics, garage sales, bowling, and playing cards with treasured friends.Alice was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Manito, and its Altar and Rosary Society.She was a member of Compassionate Friends, and was involved in numerous Teens Encounter Christ weekends and Peoria Cursillo 418. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Manito, with Father David Whiteside officiating.Recitation of the Holy Rosary begins at 3:30 p.m., followed by the visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017 at the church.Burial will be in St. Frederick's Catholic Cemetery in Manito.Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory in Pekin have been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorials may be directed to Immaculate Conception Catholic Building Fund Church or St. Frederick's Catholic Cemetery.
