Alice A. Renner

Alice A. Renner, 89, of Pekin, passed away at 2:05 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at her home. Alice was born January 27, 1927 to William and Elise May (Hamilton) Davis in Lenoir City, TN. She married Clovis Renner on June 25, 1946 in Lenoir City, TN. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband Clovis, one daughter, Carol Ann Renner; one brother, Cecil Davis; two sisters Audrey Williams and Ruth Johnson-Clark. She is survived by one son, Eric (Teri) Renner of Tumbling Shoals, AR.; two daughters, Janet (Dennis) Reed of Henry and Karen (Nick) Goloff of Secor, IL; 2 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 4 step-great grandchildren. Alice was co-owner and administrator of Renner Plumbing in Pekin with her husband. She was very proud that she learned to play the piano late in life. She loved to read and enjoyed working crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Alice loved nature, especially birds. She often went fishing and camping. She loved to laugh, smile and be helpful. She volunteered with meals on wheels, knitted caps for preemie babies at Pekin Hospital, loved quilting, donating quilts to the House of Hope.She was a member of Pekin Amvets Ladies Auxiliary. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, December 9, 2016 at Henderson Funeral Home and Crematory, 2131 Velde Dr. Pekin with Bill Brown officiating.Visitation will be from 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
