Alice M. Maas

Alice M. Maas, 84, of Pekin passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2011 in the Emergency Room at Pekin Hospital. Alice was born on February 17, 1927 in Pekin, Illinois to Henry and Marie (Denker) Schlobohm. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Steven Lee Maas and Kenneth Maas, four brothers, Henry and Wilbert Lohrenz, Rudy and Clarence Schlobohm, one sister, Viola Schlobohm. Surviving is: one daughter, Judy Hieser of Pekin; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; two sisters, Bertha Odewaldt and Marion Endicott both of Pekin. Alice was a member of Second Reformed Church in Pekin. She worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for twenty-five years. She also had worked at JC Penny's, Kmart and Pekin Hospital. She was a 4-H leader for fifteen years. She loved her family dearly! Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, April 29, 2011 in Lakeside Cemetery. The Rev. Bradley Vander Waal will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Thursday, April 28 at Henderson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude 4722 N. Sheridan Rd.
