Alice B. Lipscomb

Alice B. Lipscomb, 90, of Pekin passed away at 11:00 pm Monday, November 14, 2011 at Hallmark House Nursing Center in Pekin. Alice was born on February 9, 1921 in Bevier, MO to Clarence A. and Maude (Johnson) Vestal. She married Ernest J. Lipscomb on September 1, 1940 in Clarence, MO. He died on January 27, 1986. Also preceding in death are her parents, one grandson, David Scott Rowden, two brothers and three sisters. Surviving is: two daughters, Sheila Anderson and Valerie (Scott) Harris both of Pekin; four granddaughters, Tammy (Charles) Glass of Pekin, Ginger Speer of Houston, TX, Heidi (Roger) Hairston of Kimble, West Virginia and Dee (Richard) Justice of Pekin; ten great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Alice was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Pekin and had volunteered at Pekin Hospital. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Henderson Funeral Home. Rev. Ken Seest will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 am - 10:30 am Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
