Alice R. Bohannan

Alice R. Bohannan, 73, of Pekin, IL passed away at 10:20 PM Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Reflections Memory Care in Pekin. Alice was born on February 4, 1948 in Hackleburg, AL to Herman B. and Verdel (Cole) Towery. She married Lester Bohannan on August 1, 1969 in East St. Louis, IL. Preceding in death are her parents, three brothers, Junior, Wilburn and Eddie, and three sisters, Betty, Frances and Judy. Surviving is: her husband, Lester of Pekin; one son, Derek (Cindy) Bohannan of Pekin; one grandson, Kaleb Bohannan of Pekin; four brothers, David (Glinda) Towery of South Pekin, Allen Towery of Delavan, IL, Jimmy Towery of Pekin and Russell Towery of Indiana; two sisters, Kim Rice of Indiana and Sandy Bennett of Pekin. Alice worked PRECO in Morton for over twenty years. She then worked as a monitor on school buses for several years. She enjoyed traveling and shopping. She loved helping children. Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from noon till 1:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodrow Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association 614 W Glen Ave, Peoria, IL 61614.
