Alberta E. Anderson

Alberta E. Anderson, 70, of 190 Queenwood Road Morton and formerly of Pekin died at 5:50 am Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Morton Villa. Alberta was born on February 28, 1940 in Delavan, IL to Albert and Ruth (Morton) Stoehr. She married John W. Anderson on October 23, 1972 in Pekin. He died on July 29, 1992. Also preceding in death are her parents, twin infants, Shawn T. and John W. Anderson Jr. and brother, Jonathan Payne. Surviving are: two daughters, Laverta R. Cottrell of Morton, IL and Mary L. (Tim) Lundy of Peoria; six grandchildren, Tara (Frank) Cleaver, Hope (Nick) McGuire, Chris Baker, Shawn (Amanda) Lundy, Helena Davis and Heather Lundy; fourteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; step mother Juanita Stoehr of AZ, one sister Evelyn Parker and one brother Lawrence Stoehr both of AZ. Alberta had worked as a cook for the Empire Tap, Roxy's and Pekin Downtown Motel. She was a lifetime member the Eagles Auxiliary and volunteered at the Miller Center.
